Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Which grades are open for admission in 2026–27?

Admissions are open for Pre-KG, LKG and UKG, and for Grades 1 to 8. Seats in each grade are limited, because we hold class sizes small by design.

Which board does Riverside follow?

Riverside Public School, Coimbatore is a CBSE school. The CBSE foundation is deliberate: it travels well, so a child who moves city or country mid-schooling can continue without losing ground.

Is there an entrance examination?

There is no written entrance test. We hold a friendly, age-appropriate interaction with your child, along with a brief conversation with the parents. It is meant to help us understand your child, not to rank them.

What is the admission process?

Four steps. First, submit the enquiry form on this page and our admissions team responds within two working days. Second, visit the campus, meet teachers, and see classrooms in session. Third, the interaction with your child and a discussion with the parents. Fourth, on acceptance, we share fee details and onboarding.

What are the fees?

Our fee schedule, sibling concessions, and term-wise payment plans are shared in person during your campus visit, where we can answer your questions in context rather than leaving you with a number and no explanation of what sits behind it.

What is the age criterion for each grade?

Age criteria follow CBSE norms and the applicable Tamil Nadu requirements, and differ by grade. Our admissions office will confirm the exact cut-off for your child's grade when you enquire, since it depends on the child's date of birth relative to the academic year.

How large are the classes?

Small, and intentionally so. Small classes with experienced teachers are the core of what we offer — they are what make personal attention possible rather than aspirational. Current section strength for your child's grade is confirmed by the admissions office.

What documents will we need?

Typically your child's birth certificate, recent passport-size photographs, and — for Grade 1 and above — the previous school's report card and transfer certificate. Our admissions office will give you the exact list for your child's grade so nothing is missed.

Are the classrooms air-conditioned?

Yes. Every classroom is air-conditioned, as is every learning space — labs, library, art rooms, performance halls. Coimbatore afternoons should not be a reason a child stops concentrating.

Where is the campus, and can we visit before applying?

We are at Mother's Village, Nesavalar Colony Road, Ondipudur, Singanallur, Coimbatore 641005. Please do visit before applying — we would rather you saw the classrooms in session than took our word for it. Call +91 99527 53627 or 0422 2993627 to arrange a time.

How soon will we hear back after enquiring?

Within two working days. If you have not heard from us in that time, please call the admissions office directly on +91 99527 53627 — it means something went wrong at our end.
